ANIMAL TREATMENTS
What treatments are available?
- Full Reiki Treatment for animals can vary but are usually around 45 minutes to one hour. Animals show us when they have received all the energy they need.
- Distance Reiki I would usually give to the animal and owner before our first appointment - by sending Reiki beforehand we can 'unblock' the animal and the animal may be more responsive when receiving the first treatment.
Reiki is cumulative, as for humans, best results can be achieved through regular treatments, one treatment a week for 4-6 weeks, or sometimes more treatments a week depending on the situation.
Before any Reiki Practitioner can carry out a Reiki treatment on your animals, you must first seek approval from your vet. This should consist of a simple phone call, to establish that your Vet is happy for your animal to receive Reiki. Reiki is a complementary therapy and is not intended to replace medical or veterinary care and advice. Animals who need veterinary attention should call their veterinary surgery.
What can I expect from animal treatments?
For treatment of cats and dogs I will come to your home, where the animal feels completely at ease in familiar surroundings while being treated. Animals respond different during a treatment. Some like for me to sit beside them on the floor, others will lay down at my feet. Some animals move around during a treatment, or I have found with my cat that he likes to soak up the energy from a distance or he comes into the room afterwards. Animals are very sensitive to energy so rest assured they are taking it all in.
For equine treatments I visit your yard. The horse can remain in his stable or be in the field while I treat them. It is about the animal being comfortable and I will always respect their personal space. At first I will treat from the other side of the gate. Regardless of how far away or near I am to the animal with my hands, they will be receiving the same amount of energy.
Animals tend to drink lots of water after a Reiki treatment - they just know they have to. So make sure fresh water is available for them.

How can Reiki help my animal?
It is a beautiful thing to experience how animals embrace the energy. I experienced the positive change in dogs after just one treatment. My cat and I have a deeper connection since he has been receiving Reiki.
I send Reiki to the animal, but can also send Reiki to a specific situation.
